Dairy Steer

Youth participants shall be older than 8-years old and less than 19-years old as of January 1 of the current year. Youth shall reside in Allegan County and/or participate in an Allegan County Youth Livestock Club. Project animals that are of the Jersey or Ayrshire breeds shall have a minimum weight of 900 pounds, all other dairy breeds shall weigh 1,000 pounds or greater at final weigh-in to participate in the Youth Livestock Auction. All dairy steers shall be tagged with a RFID tag and an issued Allegan County Fair tag and tagging forms shall be submitted by the participants' leader no later than February 15 of the current year.
